1 teenage boy killed, 1 wounded in Bronx shooting

A teenage boy was killed and another wounded amid gunfire in the Bronx on Friday, cops said.

A 911 call about an assault led police to find the two teens suffering from gunshot wounds on Macombs Road near Cromwell Ave. in Highbridge around 5:48 p.m., cops said.

At least four rounds were fired, a law enforcement source told the Daily News.

Medics rushed a 15-year-old to St. Barnabas Hospital with a wound to the left side of his chest. He was pronounced dead at the medical center, police said.

The other victim, a 17-year-old who was shot in his right abdomen, was taken also to St. Barnabas in stable condition.

A person of interest was in police custody within an hour of the shooting, according to law enforcement.
