2 SWAT officers shot during training in South Carolina

At least two SWAT officers were reportedly shot during a team training in Greenville, S.C. on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. during an exercise in a vacant building, according to 11Alive reporter Cody Alcorn, citing the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. It appears one round struck the two victims, though it’s unclear who fired that shot.

One of the officers was reportedly struck in the shoulder, while the other was shot in the leg. They were transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where they were said to be in stable condition and expected to recover, according to local station WYFF.

Greenville officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
