A 3-month-old boy died after being accidentally smothered by his infant sister, who rolled over him as they slept with their mother in Harlem Tuesday morning, law enforcement sources told the Daily News.
The victim’s mother awoke inside her W. 144th St. apartment near Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. to find her son unconscious beneath his 1-year-old sister about 4:25 a.m., police said. Medics rushed the boy to Harlem Hospital, where he died, cops said.
Investigators believe the child was smothered after his sister rolled over him in her sleep, sources said.
No criminality is suspected.
