5 biker club members indicted for bloody Long Island brawl

Five bikers have been indicted in connection to a bloody brawl between the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club and Demons of Hell Motorcycle Club that began at a funeral service on Long Island.

The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office blamed the “brazen and dangerous outbreak of violence,” which erupted in September outside a gas station in Lindenhurst, for presenting a threat to the community.

The trouble began when members of the Demons of Hell, which is affiliated with the notorious Hells Angels club, interrupted an afternoon memorial being held for a Pagan’s club member in a Lindenhurst bar, according to prosecutors.

A short time later, at least 15 people involved in the altercation met at a Route 66 gas station where things turned violent.

“It is alleged that during the melee, Roger Clarke and Christopher Clarke, members of the Demons of Hell, stabbed and beat a Pagan’s rival with a hammer, causing the victim to suffer a stab wound which resulted in emergency surgery to treat his injuries,” prosecutors said on Friday.

Roger Clarke is also accused of stabbing a Pagan club member when that victim attempted to leave scene. He required emergency surgery to treat a lacerated liver and colon.

Both Clarkes, who are 53 and 21 respectively and are from New Hamphire, face multiple felony assault charges. They’re expected to be in court on Feb. 3.

Long Island Pagan’s club members Joseph Bivona, 46, Michael Baffa, 57, and Robert Miller, 54, are accused of teaming up on a 76-year-old man alleged to be a Hells Angel, whom they beat with baseball bats. They too face multiple felony counts including charges of gang assault.

That victim required multiple emergency surgeries and continues to need medical care, according to prosecutors.
