50 Cent reacts to shoutout on Taylor Swift’s ‘Life of a Showgirl’

50 Cent rushed to social media after Taylor Swift’s new record, “The Life of a Showgirl,” dropped Friday to celebrate being the only celebrity to get a shoutout from the music superstar.

“S–t is popping right now, she shout me out, she don’t shout you out,” the 50-year-old “Candy Shop” rapper wrote on Instagram with several mischievous emojis.

“LOL. THIS IS FOR BIG TIMERS ONLY!” 50 Cent continued alongside a pic of Swift’s new album cover. “Wait I’m the only shout out on the whole album.”

The song in question, “Ruin the Friendship,” is the sixth track of “Life of a Showgirl” and name-drops the “In Da Club” hip-hop legend, making him the only celeb to be mentioned by name in the entire 12-track release.

“But as the 50 Cent song played,” Swift sings, “Should’ve kissed you anyway.”

Fans of both artists, meanwhile, flooded the comments section of the “P.I.M.P.” rapper’s post to share in the excitement.

“Love seeing so many rappers rock with Taylor Swift,” one person wrote.

“Was waiting for you to post about it!” added another. “So cool!”

“Fifty is a Swifty?” a third fan joked, while a fourth shared, “Loved when she mentioned you!”

Although the “Get Rich or Die Tryin’” rapper is the only A-lister to be directly mentioned in “Life of a Showgirl,” he may not be the only celeb to get a nod from the billionaire songwriter.

Besides a handful of tunes seemingly about fiancé Travis Kelce, fans have speculated that two songs in particular are about Swift’s alleged fallouts with Charli xcx and Blake Lively: “Actually Romantic” and “Cancelled!”

“I heard you call me ‘Boring Barbie’ when the coke’s got you brave,” Swift sang at the start of the album’s seventh track. “High-fived my ex and then you said you’re glad he ghosted me / Wrote me a song saying it makes you sick to see my face.”

Fans suggest Swift might be referencing Charli’s 2024 song “Sympathy Is a Knife,” which was seemingly pointed at the Grammy winner’s short-lived romance with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy.

“Don’t wanna see her backstage at my boyfriend’s show,” Charli, who is married to The 1975’s George Daniel, belted in her song. “Fingers crossed behind my back / I hope they break up real quick.”

As for “Cancelled!,” Swifties think the track may be about the fallout from Lively’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

“Good thing I like my friends canceled / I liked them cloaked Gucci and in scandal,” Swift sings on the 10th track of her 12th studio album.

After being named the face of the fragrance Gucci Premiere in 2012, Lively had appeared in a short ad film for the brand that year.

“I salute you if you’re much too much to handle,” the “Cancelled!” lyrics continue. “Now you know exactly who your friends are / We’re the ones with matching scars.”

Swift was first dragged into the bitter “It Ends With Us” legal battle earlier this year when Baldoni’s party sought to depose the “Opalite” hitmaker.

Baldoni alleged that Swift was present for a pivotal meeting he had with Lively in New York City, and later accused the “Gossip Girl” alum of calling the singer and husband Ryan Reynolds her “dragons” (referring to herself as Khaleesi from “Game of Thrones”) in a supposed text conversation.

Swift and Lively, meanwhile, haven’t been seen together in public since before the “Elizabeth Taylor” singer got dragged into the “It Ends With Us” legal battle, and an insider told Daily Mail in June that Swift “has totally cut ties” with her former bestie.
