Nine firefighters were injured, two seriously, as they battled a smoky early-morning blaze that tore through a two-story Queens home Friday, the FDNY said.
The heavy blaze broke out inside the 111th St. home near 95th Ave. in Richmond Hill at about 7:10 a.m., officials said.
More than 100 firefighters and EMS personnel were deployed to fight the flames and care for the injured.
The home’s white stucco exterior was covered with thick black soot as heavy smoke poured out of alley-facing windows on both the first and second floors, pictures of the fire show. Two residents of the building suffered minor injuries along with the nine firefighters, who brought the blaze under control by 8:45 a.m.

All nine were taken to area hospitals for treatment and evaluation.
The FDNY Fire Marshals have been dispatched to determine what sparked the fire.
