Longtime “Infowars” star Owen Shroyer says he plans to launch a new show to compete with Alex Jones after he and the conspiracy theory had an acrimonious split this week.
On Friday, the 36-year-old right-wing pundit posted a video on X thanking fans for their support and all the money they’ve donated to fundraiser to help him with his next move.
“Come Oct. 6, you’re going to have me right back in the 3 to 6 time slot every single weekday delivering the news,” he said, while telling fans he plans to do a livestream next week to give more details on what lies ahead.
Shroyer profusely expressed appreciation for his followers who stuck with him after he was sentenced to 60 days behind bars for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. He assured supporters he’s moving forward with nothing but positive thoughts and invited them to tune into his next endeavor.
“We’re gonna hang out, we’re gonna talk politics, were gonna love life and hopefully we’re gonna awaken hearts, minds and souls, and maybe put America in a better place,” he said.
Shroyer told fans on Monday that he’d reached a “point of no return” with his famously bombastic boss after nearly 10 years of employment. He said he made the decision to leave after a big disagreement with Jones, adding that Jones had attempted to censor him and accused him of being “too anti-Trump.”
Jones responded on Tuesday by slamming Shroyer’s complaints and claiming he only quit as a publicity stunt to promote his new show.
“You stabbed your brother and this organization in the back and you’re a f–king liar!” he raged. “You are a rat! You are a fraud! You are a backstabber! You are a hand-biter! You are a disgrace!”
Shroyer said he hoped to leave “Infowars” on good terms, but his notoriously temperamental employer made that impossible.
He told one follower on X the job he left paid him $180,000 each year.
