A New York City woman’s heart — and likely her rent — will go on and on after the “Titanic” devotee turned her apartment into a replica of the doomed ship.
Sarah Boll, who told People she’s seen James Cameron’s Best Picture winner “over 500 times,” has been documenting the process on social media — where she boasts more than 24,000 followers on her TitanicApartment TikTok — and has quickly become known as the queen of rental makeovers.

The 38-year-old, who’s obsessed with both the epic romance and the vessel that inspired the film, first took a page from Manhattan’s former interactive “Sleep No More” exhibit to decorate her home like the Titanic for a party, but it never materialized because she could “never finish this apartment.”
“I’d never wanted to show anyone because in my mind, I’m like, this isn’t good enough and I need to be better,” she told People.
But Boll’s ambitions — which included portholes, as well as a fully realized “iceberg room” and the Veranda Café — “completely got out of control.”
Using materials from the likes of eBay, Etsy and Amazon, Boll is still “add[ing] stuff” every day and “has no idea” how much she has spent on the renovation thus far. That goes for time too, she said, the amount of which she “can’t estimate.”

“This is all renter-friendly, which people do not understand,” Boll said. “I had to get creative with it because the ceiling is also all cement. Everything has to be taped up. People can’t comprehend that this is all tape and an art project.”
Boll said she hopes to eventually put her collection of items somewhere on display “where people could walk through [it],” but for now, she loves the “weird” element of it being confined to her apartment.
She added that she might eventually craft a yellow-brick road, transitioning from “Titanic” to “The Wizard of Oz.”
