In 1925, the Rockettes (then known as “the Roxyettes”) got their merry start in St. Louis, MO.
For seven years, choreographer Russell Markert’s high-kicking dancers — inspired by the UK group, the Tiller Girls — put on shows at the Missouri Theatre. That was until Radio City Music Hall advisory board member Samuel “Roxy” Rothafel brought the ensemble to the Big Apple in December 1932 to spearhead the legendary venue’s opening.
Now, 100 short years later, the iconic Christmas-themed show is celebrating their 100th year in style.
Starting Thursday, Nov. 6, the cheery crew will kick off their holiday season with their first ‘Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes.’
From there, they’ll deliver over 200 more performances that “combine elements of jazz, tap and ballet” and timeless routines like “Parade of the Living Soldiers” and “The Living Nativity” up until Jan. 4, 2026.
According to Playbill, this incarnation of the Rockettes’ seminal stage show “features nine extravagant numbers throughout a 90-minute production…[including] such classics as ‘Parade of the Wooden Soldiers’ as well as a new Santa Claus-themed scene introduced in 2024, set to Jerry Herman’s ‘Mame’ classic ‘We Need a Little Christmas.’”
In addition to the performance, fans will also have the opportunity to take part in unique onsite activations at Radio City that pay tribute to the group’s past century.
Plus, Santa will be there, too.
if you’d like to be there and take part in the holiday magic, tickets are available for all 211 (!) 2025 ‘Christmas Spectacular’ shows.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for any one concert was $83 including fees on Vivid Seats.
Other ‘Spectaculars’ start anywhere from $85 to $285 including fees.

Radio City Christmas Spectacular 2025 schedule
From Nov. 6 all the way until early 2024, there will be quite a few shows at Radio City.
Prior to Thanksgiving, the Rockettes will high kick in Midtown from Tuesday through Sunday (save for the odd off-day).
Most shows take place at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Yes, there are often four shows a day. However, that’s not always the case. As noted above, there are odd off-days so make sure to keep an eye on the jam-packed calendar.
