Cardi B is pregnant with her fourth child, her first with New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, due just before the start of her first arena tour.
The 32-year-old “Bodak Yellow” rapper, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, confirmed the news Wednesday on “CBS Mornings,” amid recent speculation she was gearing up to welcome another baby.
A day earlier, the Bronx-born Grammy winner announced her first arena tour, “Little Miss Drama,” pegged to her “Am I the Drama?” album dropping Friday. The tour kicks off Feb. 11 in Palm Desert, Calif. and will arrive at Madison Square Garden on March 25, as well as Newark’s Prudential Center March 28, before its April 17 finale in Atlanta.
Cardi assured “CBS Mornings” that her little one will arrive by the start of the tour, though it’s unclear how rehearsals will go until then.
She also admitted that she’s “scared” of her parents and hadn’t told them about their forthcoming grandchild at the time of the announcement, while Diggs “just makes me feel safe and very confident and very strong.”
This month marked a year since Cardi and estranged husband Offset welcomed their third child together, daughter Blossom, amid near-simultaneous news she had filed for divorce. She said their unborn baby “reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love and my passion!”
Cardi and the 33-year-old Migos rapper, who also share daughter Kulture and son Wave, have not yet finalized their divorce.
Last October, she reportedly dismissed “f–king crazy” chatter she was dating Diggs, 31, only for the pair to arrive at a Miami hotel on Valentine’s Day. Amid continued sightings, Cardi confirmed she had a new beau, and held hands with Diggs at a Knicks playoffs game before taking their relationship Instagram official in June.
Cardi continually dismissed rumors she might be expecting again, which surfaced amid last month’s civil assault case, where she was ultimately found not liable for a 2018 assault.
