Bronx woman stabbed to death, man wounded in Pelham Bay Park attack

A 30-year-old woman was stabbed to death and her romantic partner wounded when they were attacked in the Bronx’s Pelham Bay Park, police said Thursday.

Anthonella Contreras Linarez and her 44-year-old partner got into a clash with at least two people near City Island Road and Park Drive, part of the traffic circle in the middle of park, about 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, cops said.

Contreras Linarez was stabbed multiple times about the body, police said. Her partner was stabbed in his right forearm.

The couple drove themselves to Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital, where Contreras Linarez died. She lived in the Crotona Park East section of the Bronx, according to cops. Her partner is expected to recover.

No arrests have been made.

Police were scouring the area looking for any surveillance footage that may have caught the stabbing.
