One of D4vd’s reported leaked songs is entitled “Celeste,” and pays tribute to a love interest with the same name as the 15-year-old whose body was found decomposing in the singer’s Tesla last week.
TMZ reports that the nearly 4-minute track was initially leaked as “Celeste_Demo unfin” in December 2023.
The song also appears to have been released, or recirculated, on Soundcloud Wednesday by a little-followed account amid news that the 20-year-old “Romantic Homicide” singer, real name David Anthony Burke, was halting his world tour.
“Oh, Celeste / The girl with my name tattooed on her chest / Smell her on my clothes like cigarettes / I hear her voice each time I take a breath / I’m obsessed,” the lyrics croon.
Earlier Wednesday, the remains in the Tesla, which were not in tact, were identified as belonging to Rivas, whose mother told TMZ she had a boyfriend named David. Rivas disappeared from her family’s Lake Elsinore, Calif. home in April 2024, when she was 13. She was last heard from late that May, KABC reports.
Both Rivas and Queens-born D4vd reportedly had a “Shhh…” tattoo on their right index fingers — a trend from the early 2000s favored by celebrities like Rihanna, Lindsay Lohan and Lily Allen.
Lake Elsinore sits about 76 miles southeast of the Hollywood Hills, from which D4vd’s car was reported missing. The vehicle was ultimately towed to a Los Angeles tow yard, where it was found impounded with Rivas’ body inside.
LAPD told NBC News in a statement that they did not have any information about a suspect as there was no “crime classification from the coroner as to the mode or manner of death.”
That night, investigators searched a residence close to the site of where the vehicle had been found and seized multiple items, including a computer, per KABC. It’s unclear whether or how the evidence is linked to the vehicle, which neighbors remember seeing,” according to the outlet.
