Kanye mentoring Diddy’s son as sentencing looms

Kanye West is helping Christian “King” Combs, son of Sean “Diddy” Combs, expand his musical career.

While Diddy is behind bars, awaiting sentencing on prostitution-related charges, his third-oldest of seven kids has released the song “Lonely Roads,” executive produced by Ye and featuring his daughter North West.

Christian, 27, also debuted a video directed by Adam Gharib that shows Diddy and his kids in a touching family portrait, underscoring the importance of unity at a time when their bonds matter most.

“This video means more to me than just a song — it’s about family, love and legacy,” Christian said.

“Having my brothers and sisters in it, opening with that family portrait, and closing with my dad’s words made it feel bigger than music. It’s a reminder that even on the lonely roads, we carry our family with us, and that’s what gives us strength.”

Combs, 55, will have already been jailed for nearly 13 months when he’s sentenced on Oct. 3

Each of the two charges against him carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison. His lawyers, however, have argued for a sentence of no more than 14 months, meaning he could go free almost immediately if the judge agrees.

On the agenda was Trump’s multibillion-dollar lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal, which Murdoch owns, over the paper’s reporting of a racy birthday greeting to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein that Trump claims he never wrote or signed.

Also discussed was Murdoch’s plan for his News Corp empire to become part owner of TikTok, the Chinese-owned social media app.

“Look for a deal to be struck, and the lawsuit to be dropped,” my source said.

Murdoch attended the banquet with his fifth wife, Russian molecular biologist Elena Zhukova.

Between appearances, Blair found time to celebrate her 71st birthday at Avra with six friends, including Meera Gandhi, Francine LeFrak and Sarina Russo.

Blair, who contributed to Gandhi’s new book, “3 Tips: The Essentials for Peace, Joy and Success,” told the ladies that her husband was in Gaza trying to help negotiate a peace deal amid its ongoing war with Hamas.

Gandhi later joined Kerry Kennedy, Amy Green and Kunal Sood at Come Prima in support of Kylie Schuyler’s Global Girls Glow, a mentoring program for girls run by female CEOs.

Harriet Newman Cohen — the divorce lawyer who represented Tom Brady, Andrew Cuomo and NBA star Paul George — has written a book titled “Passion and Power.”

“It’s a memoir, not a textbook,” she told me. “I did have a lot to do with changing history.”

Harriet Newman Cohen, 91-years-old, whose long list of famous clients includes Andrew Cuomo and Tom Brady, is in her law office in Times Square, New York City, on Thursday, July 18, 2024. She says she still works "24-7" and thinks her age has been a benefit, that with it has come acuity, energy and keenness. "I've just been so lucky," she says, "but the president has not been so lucky." She is a devout Democrat and will give Biden her vote if he persists, but would like to see him step aside. "I would call it elder abuse, but he's doing it to himself," she said. (AP Photo/Ted Shaffrey)

Cohen had four children before she and her husband split and she went to law school 18 years after getting her bachelor’s from Barnard.

She later helped change matrimonial law to reflect “equitable distribution,” the idea that a homemaker is entitled to a share of the assets their spouse acquired outside the home.

“It was a man’s world,” she said. “State law was changed so homemaking and raising kids were valued.”

There were so few women lawyers those days, Cohen was often mistaken for a plaintiff in court.

Times have changed, but Cohen, 92, is still feisty. She noted that Joe Biden is 82, but said, “I’m nothing like that. I still have my marbles.”

The screening, presented in collaboration with the Maysles Documentary Center, will be introduced by actress, model and author Julia Fox, jewelry and handbag designer Alexis Bittar and Albert Maysles’ daughter Rebekah Maysles on Sunday, Oct. 5.

Instagram’s “OG Golf Girl” Paige Spiranac is better at hitting a golf ball than flipping an omelet.

At a previous Celebrity Chefs and Friends Golf and Tennis Tournament, Spiranac was being taught how to make an omelet by restaurateur Geoffrey Zakarian when she bobbled the flip.

“I think she saved most of it,” the event’s organizer Herb Karlitz told me.

Undeterred by the error, Spiranac is coming back this year to the Montclair Golf Club on Oct. 6. She’ll be joined golf legend Annika Sörenstam, tennis pro-turned-broadcaster Patrick McEnroe, former Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia, retired Giants defensive end Justin Tuck, Knicks signee Jordan Clarkson and hip-hop artist Ja Rule.

The City Harvest benefit will bring together 120 chefs, restaurateurs and celebrities. The crowd will devour five kilos of caviar and pizzas covered in black truffle.

“Chefs are some of the most generous people in the world,” Karlitz said.

Guest chef Rocco DiSpirito, lately cooking at Il Pellicano in Southampton, can’t drive a golf ball very well, but is amazingly sharp at putting.

Asked about his prowess on the green, the Queens native said, “I took a lot of girls on dates to miniature golf.”

DJ Prince Hakim, the son of Robert “Kool” Bell of Kool & the Gang, will spin at the star-studded after-party.

Sports journalist Harvey Araton has written a book, “The Goal of the Game,” for children aged 7 to 12.

The coming-of-age tale deals with the pleasures and pressures of youth sports, and grapples with grief.

“An underlying narrative, which I hope parents especially will take note of, is the increasing presence and control of for-profit business in the youth sports industry,” Araton said.
