Dame Joan Collins had one of her proudest moments as a mom over the weekend.
The English actress, 92, got to walk her only son, Alexander Newley, down the aisle at his wedding to Sheela Raman in Salzburg, Austria.
The newlyweds shared an Instagram with footage from their big day, including of Collins walking arm-in-arm with Newley, 60, during the ceremony at a lakeside castle.
The “Dynasty” alum wore an elegant light blue dress with a matching hat and white heels for the special occasion.
In the video, Collins could be seen sitting in the front row of the ceremony smiling as Newley and Raman’s daughter Deia Shanaya, 3, walked down the aisle.
For their big day, Newley looked handsome in a black and white suit while Raman stunned in a vintage-inspired lace gown.
“What a gift to stand side-by-side, surrounded by our beloved friends and family, as we step into this new chapter together,” the couple captioned their Instagram post.
“Our wedding day was more than a celebration, it was a reflection of the creative life we’re building together, full of music, laughter and love, and our little girl, who makes every day more glorious as she blossoms,” their message continued. “We’re so grateful to our family and friends who traveled from near and far, held us in joy, and communed with us on this sacred day. It will live with us always. 🤍🤍🤍”
Collins commented on the post: “It was a magical three days.”
Newley and Raman got engaged in 2019 but had to call off their original wedding planned for the South of France due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Newley was previously married to jewelery designer Angela Tassoni, with whom he shares daughter Ava Grace, 20.
Collins shared Newley with her late second husband, Anthony Newley. The former couple were married from 1963 to 1970 and also welcomed daughter Tara, 61, together.
Anthony died of renal cancer at age 67 in 1999.
Collins has another daughter, Katyana Kass, 53, from her marriage to her third husband, Ron Kass. The actress has been married to her fifth husband, Percy Gibson, since 2002.
In a 2024 interview with Hello! Magazine, Collins said that “what makes me happiest is seeing my children happy.”
“Honestly, life makes me happy and I’m very aware of how lucky I am,” the the Golden Globe winner shared. “I’ve worked hard all my life, nobody has given me anything on a plate, but I wake up each morning thinking how fortunate I am.”
