Lawyers for Sean “Diddy” Combs have released a last-minute plea for mercy by way of a video highlighting the disgraced music mogul’s charity work and family life.
The 11-minute documentary style clip was submitted ahead of his sentencing in New York on Friday. He is facing a maximum of 20 years behind bars after he was found guilty on two prostitution charges in July. It features video from throughout Combs’s life — delivering motivational speeches about his upbringing and career — as well as interview segments with friends and family.
At one point Diddy can be seen mourning the death of his partner, Kim Porter, and then caring for the children they share.

It marks Diddy’s most recent effort to appeal to U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, who twice rejected bail for the rapper in the year he has been jailed at a federal detention center in Brooklyn. He was taken into custody on Sept. 16. at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Midtown following a months-long federal investigation, which also saw agents raid his homes in Miami and Los Angeles.
His trial included devastating testimony from women who described being beaten, threatened, sexually assaulted and blackmailed by Combs.
