Bad Bunny jokes about Super Bowl gig while hosting ‘SNL’

Bad Bunny had some new material for his second “Saturday Night Live” hosting gig — dropping jokes about his upcoming Super Bowl halftime show.

“I think everybody is happy about it — even Fox News,” he kidded, referencing uproar on the conservative network about the NFL’s choice.

The bit was followed by a series of quick cuts to various Fox News talking heads, who said piece-by-piece, “Bad Bunny is my favorite musician, and he should be the next president.”

The Puerto Rican-born artist, whose legal name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, spoke briefly in Spanish about the Super Bowl gig. Referring to Latinos and Spanish speakers, he called it “an accomplishment for everybody, demonstrating that our mark and our contribution to this country will never be able to be removed or erased by anybody.”

He followed with: “If you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn!”

In his second “SNL” hosting gig, Bad Bunny also appeared in several sketches, including one in which he portrayed a diehard “KPop Demon Hunters” fan. That bit included a brief surprise live performance of the movie’s most popular song, “Golden,” by stars Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami.

The show also included the return of James Austin Johnson as President Trump, declaring the 51st season “off to a rough start” and opining that “late night TV” was the biggest threat to America.

“I’m just here keeping my eye on ‘SNL,’ making sure they don’t say anything too mean about me,” Johnson’s Trump said.
