California gubernatorial candidate Katie Porter refused to say whether more videos exist of her exploding at staffers – after several shocking clips revealing her fiery temper went viral last week.
The former congresswoman dodged repeated questions about possible additional footage of her workplace blowups during a sit-down interview with “Inside California Politics” host Nikki Laurenzo.
The Democrat never directly answered the question of their potential existence and instead admitted she “could have handled things better” in the rage-filled clips, including one where she was captured snapping at a female staffer.
“I’m going to be honest with you, I know that that video, and that video was several years ago, as you know, and I apologized to that staffer that’s super important to me and will continue to try to hold myself to do better,” the 51-year-old said during the interview.
“That’s what I can promise.”
The testy lawmaker was referring to unearthed footage, obtained by Politico, that showed her yelling at a female staffer to “get out of my f–king shot” during a July 2021 Zoom discussion with the Biden administration on environmental policy.
The resurfaced footage went viral last week after a tense on-air clash between Porter and CBS reporter Julie Watts lit a social media firestorm – with the former rep bizarrely accusing the journalist of being “unnecessarily argumentative” when asked about the difficulty of scoring votes from Trump supporters.

“When I look at those videos I want people to know that I understand that I could have handled things better,” Porter said when pressed about her temper.
“I think I’m known as someone who’s able to handle tough questions, who’s willing to answer questions, and I want people to know that I value the incredible work that my staff can do. People who know me know I can be tough but I need to do a better job expressing appreciation for the amazing work that my team does.”
Porter is vying to replace term-limited Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom in the Nov. 3 election.
