Charlie Kirk’s podcast jumps to top of charts after assassination

Charlie Kirk’s podcast has skyrocketed to the top of streaming charts — more than a month after the conservative activist’s shocking assassination.

It jumped 32 spots to break into a ranking of the top 20 podcasts in the US for the first time in the third quarter, according to Edison Research earlier reported by Bloomberg.

Andrew Kolvet, the show’s executive producer, and Blake Nett, another producer, have kept the podcast running since Kirk’s brutal killing on Sept. 10 – clinching high-profile interviews with conservative pundits, politicians and even current White House officials.

Border czar Tom Homan appeared on the show last month, while Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent filmed an interview with the podcast this week.

Vice President JD Vance has been a guest twice since Kirk’s death, revealing on his most recent appearance that Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, is now staying with the Vance family at their home at the Naval Observatory in Washington, DC.

“My husband’s voice will live on,” Erika said during an appearance on the podcast a few weeks after her husband’s death. “The team is keeping this alive…and it is going to be continually the North Star of the conservative moment.”

The podcast’s team has continued to upload episodes to Kirk’s YouTube channel and run his social media accounts.

As of Friday, “The Charlie Kirk” show sat in the No. 30 slot of top podcasts on Apple Podcasts and had dropped to No. 76 on Spotify’s podcast chart. But the show regularly tops Spotify’s lists of top US podcasts.

Kirk’s books and podcasts had skyrocketed to the top of charts across nearly every major platform just a week after his death.

The Turning Point USA founder’s forthcoming book, “Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life,” shot to the top slot as Amazon’s best-selling book – a full three months before its release in December.

At the time, his book – a guide on “how to unplug, recharge, and reconnect with God, family, and yourself” – surpassed upcoming titles from former Vice President Kamala Harris and Eric Trump.

Kirk’s older 2022 title, “The College Scam” – which accuses American universities of brainwashing and indoctrination – was a No. 5 Amazon bestseller that week.

His 2020 audiobook “The MAGA Doctrine” – which runs six and a half hours long – soared to the No. 3 slot on both Audible and Apple’s lists of top audiobooks.

Guests on the podcast regularly discuss carrying on Kirk’s legacy. The 31-year-old political activist became a prominent figure among young conservative men.

“Part of keeping Charlie’s memory alive is keeping the mission alive,” Vance said on the podcast. “Nobody can replace Charlie, but if we all take little pieces, we can do as much as we can to ensure that Charlie’s mission continues to survive long after he’s gone.”
