Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are official.
The singer, 41, and the former Canadian prime minister, 53, confirmed their relationship by stepping out for a date night in Paris on Saturday to celebrate Perry’s birthday.
The pair held hands and smiled after attending a cabaret show at the Crazy Horse Paris, according to photos obtained by TMZ.
Perry wore a bright red dress, while Trudeau dressed in a black suit.
In TMZ’s footage, a fan handed Perry a rose and wished her a happy birthday as the couple left the building and got into a black car.
Perry and Trudeau first sparked dating rumors in July, when they were spotted spotted strolling in Montreal, Canada before sharing a bougie lunch.
The two continued to feud the romance rumors when Trudeau and his middle child, daughter Ella-Grace, 16, attended Perry’s sold-out “Lifetimes” tour in Montreal.
Come September, Perry and Trudeau were seen kissing and cuddling on Perry’s yacht as they sailed off the coast of Santa Barbara, Calif.
After the yacht outing, sources told Page Six that Trudeau’s romance with Perry is “a midlife crisis.”
Trudeau resigned as Prime Minister of Canada in January, over a year after separating from his wife of 18 years, Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau, with whom he shares three children.
“He is sowing his oats all over again,” a Canadian society source told Page Six. “He’s free from the ties of office and his marriage.”
Perry, for her part, split from fiancé Orlando Bloom, 48, before she started spending time with Trudeau.
The exes, who share daughter Daisy Bloom, 5, announced their separation in a joint statement via their reps on July 3, but only after rumors circulated that they had ended their six-year engagement.
“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting,” the spokespeople told Us Weekly.
“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect,” the rep added.
Insiders revealed that Perry’s relationship with Bloom started unraveling after she released her poorly received “143” album last year.
“Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album,” a source told People in June. “It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension.”
Perry and Bloom started dating in 2016. They got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019 and their daughter the next year.
