Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo mocked for describing each other’s ‘auras’

No rest for the wicked.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are being ridiculed online after the pair were asked to describe each other’s auras during the premiere of “Wicked: For Good” in Paris, France, on Friday.

“Yellow,” Grande, 32, told Erivo, per a clip of the exchange shared by Elle magazine. “Sunshine. I think there’s also purple.”

“That’s very good,” Erivo, 38, responded to her co-star. “I see, like a ciel blue, you know? Like aqua. And like, sunset-orange.”

The pair went on to gush over the reporter’s question and thank her for asking them to describe one another’s auras.

“We’ve never been asked that question,” the “Wicked” stars said in unison. “That’s incredible. That’s a great question to ask.”

Fans, however, took to social media to mock Grande and Erivo over their “annoying” aura exchange.

“They’re sweet and all, but this annoys tf out of me,” one person commented.

“I can’t go through this again,” added another in reference to the pair’s infamous press tour for last year’s “Wicked.”

“We’re all holding space for them,” commented a third. “Did I say that right?”

“It seems like they’ve toned it way down compared to last year, and wisely so,” explained a fourth. “I’m sure another full-court press like they did last year would’ve annoyed everyone and possibly turned some people off from seeing the new movie.”

Other fans, meanwhile, defended the “Wicked” co-stars and gushed over the pair describing one another’s auras.

“Lmao they are SO annoying…and I love it,” one person commented. “It’s not harming anyone, so it’s just funny to me.”

“I love that they each gave each other two complementary colours, that’s so fun,” added another below the now-viral clip.

“I f–king love them together,” wrote a third. “Ugh. I’m not ready for this to end.”

Grande and Erivo made headlines last year when Out magazine reporter Tracy Gilchrist told the co-stars that people were “really holding space” and “feeling power in” the “Wicked” song “Defying Gravity.”

“I didn’t know that was happening. That’s really powerful,” an overwhelmed Erivo responded while clasping her hand to her chest. “That’s what I wanted.”

“I didn’t know that was happening,” Grande added after clutching Erivo’s index finger.

But after the interview went viral and garnered tens of millions of views, the pop star and Broadway actress admitted that they had “no idea” what Gilchrist meant by the phrase “holding space.”

“I mean, it’s been happening on some platforms. I mean, I guess,” Erivo told Variety last December. “I had no idea that this thing was going on.”

“So I didn’t know what any part of it meant,” Grande added. “I didn’t understand the first sentence. And then I definitely didn’t understand what was happening – how [Erivo] responded.”

“I was like, Oh, what did she say? What did you hear?” the Grammy winner continued. “And I just wanted to be there because I knew something big was happening, and I didn’t know how to be there.”

“Wicked: For Good,” the sequel and conclusion to last year’s “Wicked,” hits theaters Nov. 21.
