An 80-year-old woman was fatally struck by a Honda driver in the Bronx, cops said Monday.
Rose Young was crossing the street last Thursday at the intersection of Holland and Allerton Aves. in Allerton when a 56-year-old driver in a 2005 Honda Odyssey heading north on Holland Ave. turned left to go west on Allerton Ave. and struck her, cops said.
EMS transported Young to Jacobi Hospital where she later died.
The driver, who remained at the scene, has not been arrested as the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad reviews the incident.
Young lived just two blocks away from where she was fatally hit, cops said.
