Cops are hunting the arsonist suspected of setting a homeless man on fire as he dozed aboard a No. 3 train in Manhattan.
New images recorded by MTA surveillance cameras show the suspect wearing a grey jacket, black hat, black pants, black boots and carrying a black backpack outside a subway turnstiles.
The 56-year-old victim was sleeping on the northbound train when the doors opened at the 34th St.-Penn Station subway stop, where the suspect boarded the train around 3:05 a.m. Monday, cops said.
The suspect only stayed aboard the train long enough to set the victim ablaze, and disembarked before the doors closed again, police said.
Medics rushed the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center for treatment of significant burn injuries.
The suspect fled aboard a northbound No. 3 train, but a police spokesman could not say whether it was the same or a different train than what the victim was aboard.
