Police have arrested the unlicensed moped driver who killed a 68-year-old man crossing a Queens street, officials said Saturday.
Yunior Buleje Rodriguez, 26, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following the fatal crash at the corner of 168th St. and 93rd Ave. in Jamaica Friday evening, cops said.
Rodriguez was heading west on 93rd Ave. shortly after 6:30 p.m. when his 2025 Zhilong moped rammed into Trevor Lloyd Samuels as he crossed 168th St.
Samuels was in the crosswalk when Rodriguez struck him, knocking him to the ground, cops said. The victim suffered a massive head injury and was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he died a short time later, cops said.
Samuels lived in Springfield Gardens, about four miles from where he was killed. Rodriguez lives in Richmond Hill.

Cops arrested Rodriguez at the scene. His arraignment in Queens Criminal Court was pending on Saturday.
As of Thursday, 101 people have been fatally struck by motor vehicles in the five boroughs — a 10% drop from last year, when 113 people were struck down by passing vehicles, cops said.
