Gwyneth Paltrow’s son Moses Martin wants to keep his mom’s sex scenes a complete unknown.
The “Marty Supreme” star, 53, is revealing how her 19-year-old felt about her intimate moments with Timothée Chalamet. The Oscar winner shares Moses and daughter Apple, 21, with ex-husband Chris Martin.
The mother-son duo attended the sports drama’s LA premiere together on Dec. 8.
“He was like this,” Paltrow revealed while on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” on Monday, mimicking how Martin covered his face during the sex scenes. “The whole time. Yeah, not into that.”
The Goop founder added that she “did warn him.”
This isn’t the first time Paltrow’s family has seen her risqué side.
“You know it’s funny, you grow up doing these things in movies. I remember once I was so scared because I was taking my grandfather to see the premiere of ‘Shakespeare in Love’ and I was like, ‘I have this topless scene, Grandpa. But it’s like part of the thing because they think I’m a boy.’ And I was trying to prep him for the whole thing and he just goes, “Ah I’ve seen it before, two eggs sunny side up,’” she recalled.
When it came to prepping Martin for what he was about to see, Paltrow wasn’t as smooth.
“I was trying to think of something like that to my son,” she continued. “But I couldn’t think of one.”
Despite the uncomfortable moment, the “Iron Man” actress said that, overall, Moses “loved it.”
Paltrow, for her part, was completely on board for the sex scene despite her 24-year age gap with Chalamet, 29.
“I was like, ‘Okay, great. I’m 109 years old. You’re 14,” she teased to Vanity Fair in March. “We have a lot of sex in this movie.”
“He’s just a very polite, properly raised, I was going to say kid,” Paltrow quipped. “He’s a man who takes his work really seriously and is a fun partner.”
“I mean, we have a lot of sex in this movie. There’s a lot — a lot.”
The interviewer asked Paltrow, “So…you’re in a lot of vulnerable positions with him?,” to which she answered, “Beyond.”
“Marty Supreme” is inspired by real professional ping-pong player Marty Reisman, who won several medals at the World Table Tennis Championships during the late 1940s through the 1960s.
Chalamet stars as the titular character Marty Mauser while Paltrow plays his love interest.
“He’s such a thinking man’s sex symbol,” Paltrow gushed to the outlet.
Paltrow also turned down using the on-set intimacy coordinator.
“There’s now something called an intimacy coordinator, which I did not know existed,” she explained. “I was like, ‘Girl, I’m from the era where you get naked, you get in bed, the camera’s on.’”
“We said, ‘I think we’re good. You can step a little bit back,’ ” recounted Paltrow. “I don’t know how it is for kids who are starting out, but… if someone is like, ‘OK, and then he’s going to put his hand here,’ I would feel, as an artist, very stifled by that.”
As for her own character in the film, she detailed: “This woman who is married to someone who is in the ping-pong mafia, as it were. They meet and she’s had a pretty tough life, and I think he breathes life back into her, but it’s kind of transactional for them both.”
Paltrow later revealed how her husband, Brad Falchuk, felt about her kissing Chalamet.
“Unthreatened, not because T.Chal isn’t AWESOME, but he knows he’s got my whole [heart],” she said in a Q&A on her Instagram Stories.
The actress was married to Chris from 2003 to 2016. She then tied the knot with Falchuk, 54, in 2018.
In October 2024, Paltrow and Chalamet were spotted kissing on set in New York.
Paltrow said on the “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that all of her “mom group texts were fire” after the pictures went viral.
Meanwhile, Chalamet has been dating Kylie Jenner since early 2023.
The couple attended the Los Angeles premiere of his movie together and wore matching orange leather Chrome Hearts outfits.
