A Brooklyn driver angry that a snowball was thrown at his minivan lashed out at a 10-year-old boy, slamming his head into the windshield of another vehicle, police said Tuesday.
The attacker fled the scene in Kensington in a silver minivan, leading the NYPD to release surveillance footage of him confronting the victim in the hopes someone recognizes the suspect.
The boy was taken by medics to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition and treated for pain to the right side of his head and left hand.
The attacker hit the brakes after a snowball was thrown at his vehicle near Ocean Parkway and Ditmas Ave about 4:10 p.m. Dec. 17.
He had harsh words for the boy and another friend, police said, though it wasn’t clear which of the friends threw the snowball. The attacker then assaulted the victim, slamming his head into the rear windshield of a parked vehicle before driving off west on Ditmas Ave. toward Cortelyou Road.
