D4vd expected to be indicted by grand jury in Celeste Rivas’ death

D4vd is likely to be indicted by a grand jury for his suspected role in the murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, the teenager whose mangled remains were found decomposing in the singer’s trunk in September, according to a report.

Sources tell TMZ that, contrary to previous reports, the Los Angeles grand jury hearing from witnesses in the case is not merely “investigative” and will indeed vote on whether to indict the 20-year-old “Romantic Homicide” crooner, real name David Anthony Burke. The Queens-born singer has been reportedly considered a suspect in Rivas’ death since at least mid-November.

D4vd was at the start of a world tour when the dismembered remains of 15-year-old Rivas were found in his impounded Tesla on Sept. 8, though it’s believed Rivas died in the spring. By the end of the month, the rest of the tour was canceled.

In late November, TMZ reported that the case was officially being investigated as a homicide, though officials were at odds over Rivas’ cause of death.

Earlier this month, the outlet reported that Robert Morgenroth, the head of D4vd’s record label and touring company, testified for the grand jury and was afterwards overheard telling his lawyer that Prosecutor Beth Silverman “was very pushy on why [he] didn’t call police.”

Morgenroth, both the general manager of Mogul Vision and president of Zara Brothers Travel, reportedly recounted telling Silverman he felt “I didn’t have the responsibility to do that, and just wanted to continue with the tour.”

Rivas’ mother previously told TMZ that the young runaway had a boyfriend named David. The pair reportedly had matching “Shhh…” tattoos on their right index fingers.
