Joe Schoen will remain Giants GM for 2026

The Giants have informed GM Joe Schoen that he is staying for the 2026 season.

A source confirmed to the Daily News that the GM with a 13-38 record in the past three seasons and a 22-45-1 record overall is returning for a fifth year.

The Giants fired head coach Brian Daboll midseason but will retain the GM who hired him. The organization with four Super Bowl has lowered its standards so far that back to back three and four wins seasons justifies, in their minds, running it back.

Co-owner John Mara and Steve Tisch released a statement citing “continuity” and “stability” in the “front office” as “important to our progress.”

“The 2025 season has been deeply disappointing, and the results on the field have not lived up to the standard this organization and our fans expect.

As previously stated, Joe Schoen will remain our General Manager and continue to lead our football operations and the search for our next head coach. Continuity and stability in the front office is important to our progress.

We believe in our young core of talent, which we can build around for future success.”

This is a developing story.
