Long Island man gets 75 years for raping daughter, half-sister

A Long Island man has been sentenced to 75 years in prison for raping his daughter and his teenage half-sister, authorities announced on Wednesday.

The 38-year-old Patchogue man, who was not identified to protect the victims’ identities, was convicted in November 2025 on numerous counts, including four counts of rape and six counts of sexual abuse.

“While no prison term can undo the profound trauma inflicted upon these survivors, this outcome represents justice and, we hope, provides some measure of closure,” Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said in a press release.

The predator began raping his daughter when she was 5 years old, and the abuse continued until days before her 14th birthday, investigators said. During that decade of horror, the man pressured his child to remain quiet about his assaults.

But on Aug. 29, 2021, he also raped his then-15-year-old half-sister while she was visiting, police said. The teenager reported the incident to authorities, who began investigating and learned of the man’s decade-long abuse of his own daughter.

“This predator will spend the rest of his life in prison, where he can no longer harm another child,” Tierney said Wednesday.

The man was convicted of two counts of first-degree rape, one count each of second-degree and third-degree rape, one count of first-degree criminal sexual act, five counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of second-degree sexual abuse.
