Man, 34, stabbed to death outside Bronx apartment building

A 34-year-old man was knifed to death following a violent clash outside a Bronx apartment building, police said.

The victim was on Bryant Ave. near E. 172nd St., about two blocks from Starlight Park in Crotona Park East, when he was attacked at around 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

He was stabbed repeatedly in the neck, chest and back, cops said.

EMS rushed the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, but he couldn’t be saved. His name was not immediately released as cops track down his family members.

The attacker ran off. No arrests had been made as of late Saturday morning. It wasn’t immediately disclosed what prompted the attack.

Cops on Saturday were scouring the area for surveillance footage that could help them learn what happened and identify the stabber.

This is the first killing to take place in the 42nd Precinct, which covers Claremont, Crotona Park East and Crotona Park.

While murders plummeted by 20% last year with 77 fewer victims than the 382 in 2024, the Bronx was responsible for more than one-third of homicides and shootings, cops said.
