A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of another teen who was stabbed in the neck just three blocks away from his Queens home, cops said Sunday.
The suspect, whose name was not released because of his age, was busted Saturday night and charged with killing Josue Arturo, also 17, in Woodhaven just before 3:45 p.m. Friday.
Josue desperately called out for help to his aunt, who raced outside to him, holding her hand as he bled out, a witness told the Daily News. An onlooker desperately performed CPR on the victim, and medics took him to Jamaica Hospital, but he couldn’t be saved.
The teen victim was just three blocks away from his home when a group of youths attacked him near 76th St. and 86th Ave. around 3:43 p.m., police and law enforcement sources said. He ran from his killers, but they gave chase, stabbing him in the neck, the sources said.
“They stabbed me,” Josue told his aunt, according to one witness who wished not to be named.
Video obtained by the Daily News shows one of the attackers, who is holding something in his right hand, chasing another teen down 76th St. and striking him with it several times, including around the head and chest and in the neck.
The two youths then appear to talk to each other, and the victim briefly takes out his phone and puts it back in his pocket before the attacker, dressed in black and wearing a mask and hood, walks off. Another video then shows the teen victim slump down onto the sidewalk on 76th St.
Police released photos of two individuals wanted for questioning Saturday, and arrested the 17-year-old suspect Saturday night.
He awaits arraignment in Queens Criminal Court.
