Jets cornerback Krys Boyd focusing on his faith during recovery from NYC nightclub shooting

Jets cornerback Krys Boyd, who was shot and seriously wounded last year outside a Manhattan restaurant, says his grueling recovery is focusing way beyond returning to the football sideline.

“I’ve been tested each and every way in life these past months and I can’t wait to tell this testimony,” Boyd posted Monday on Instagram, with a reference to a Bible verse, Proverbs 3:5.

Boyd, 29, already suffering from a season-ending shoulder injury in training camp, was shot in the abdomen on Nov. 16 at 2 a.m. during a dispute outside Sei Less in Midtown.

“From shoulder injury/surgery to resetting everything, learning to walk again, and MULTIPLE cardiovascular surgeries and cuts on the body after being shot,” he wrote. “My life is devoted to Christ, That is what this platform will only be used for now; with Love and Unwavering Faith!”

Boyd was initially listed in critical but stable condition with a bullet lodged in his lung.

He was released from the hospital and surprised the Jets last Wednesday with a visit to the team facility. Boyd was seen using a walker for assistance.

A 20-year-old Bronx man, Frederick Green, was  held without bail after being charged with attempted murder assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Green was arrested days after the shooting, following an extensive manhunt, and taken into custody near the University of Buffalo North Campus in Amherst, New York.

Authorities tracked him down using tips, cell phone data  and surveillance video.

Boyd’s social media post included pictures and videos of him in a hospital bed with bandages, bruises and a brace on his arm while being helped by medical staff.

The post says nothing about football.

Boyd, a special teams standout, signed a one-year $1.6 million contract with the Jets last March after playing for the Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings
