Trevor Noah to host Grammys for sixth and ‘final’ year

He’s no longer hosting the “Daily Show,” but he’s still got a yearly gig.

Trevor Noah will host the Grammys in February for the sixth straight year, though the South African funnyman says this will be his final time as the emcee, the Recording Academy announced Tuesday.

Noah, 41, has hosted the Grammys every year since 2021, with ratings rising every year following his initial pandemic-altered program. He will also serve as an executive producer of this year’s show.

“I am beyond thrilled to welcome Trevor Noah back to host the Grammys for his sixth, and sadly, final time,” Grammys executive producer Ben Winston told The Hollywood Reporter. “His impact on the show has been truly spectacular, and we can’t wait to do it together one last time.”

Noah is also nominated for a Grammy, this time for Best Audio Book, Narration & Storytelling Recording for “Into the Uncut Grass,” a children’s book he wrote.

It’s hardly a new situation for Noah to deal with. He was nominated for Best Comedy Album while hosting in 2024 and 2025, though he has yet to win an award.

In addition to Noah’s final turn as host, it will also be CBS’ last broadcast of the Grammys for at least 10 years, as the show will shift to ABC through 2036. This year’s broadcast will air live on Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. ET. Kendrick Lamar leads all performers with nine nominations.
