Just when you thought Netflix had their hands full with the Warner Bros. acquisition, the streamer has a few more tricks up their sleeve.
The former DVD sleeve delivery service just announced the “first wave” lineup for their 2026 Netflix is a Joke Festival and once again delivered a dazzling array of household name stand-ups, beloved character actors, hot-button podcasters, variety programming, exclusive events, throwback screenings and unique music bookings for the third edition of the multi-day comedy extravaganza.
Just a few of the biggest performers set to take the many, many stages include Jon Stewart (hosting a Night of Too Many Stars show), John Mulaney, Kevin Hart (taping episodes of his competition program “Funny AF with Kevin Hart”), Nikki Glaser and Seth Rogen (putting on “Seth Goes Greek” with friends).
Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie’s Flight of the Conchords will play their first live show in a decade; a Pee-Wee Herman tribute featuring Mark Mothersbaugh, Fred Armisen and more is in the books.
Elsewhere, “SNL” star Marcello Hernandez is teaming up with with hitmaker Feid and shows hosted by Lizzo and Jelly Roll with special guests have been unveiled as well.
Plus, the back-to-back World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers are putting on a “Comedy Night” presented by All-Star catcher Will Smith and “Hangover” funnyman Ken Jeong.
There’s also a conversation with Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David on the “Rushmore Podcast” where they’ll discuss what they think are the best episodes of their beloved ’90s sitcom.
And we’re still barely scratching the surface.
Set to take place from May 4-10 at venues all over Los Angeles, the massive festival will take place at 35 venues with more than 350 live events scheduled.
