Mirror, mirror on the wall, what are the worst movies of them all?
That would be “Snow White” and “War of the Worlds,” according to the 2026 Razzie Awards nominations that were announced Wednesday.
The Disney live-action movie starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot and Ice Cube’s Prime Video film received six nods each, including Worst Picture.
“Snow White” was also nominated for Worst Director for Marc Webb, Worst Supporting Actor for All Seven Artificial Dwarfs, Worst Screen Combo for All Seven Dwarfs, Worst Screenplay and Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel.
“War of the Worlds,” meanwhile, scored noms for Worst Director for Rich Lee, Worst Actor for Ice Cube, Worst Screen Combo, Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel and Worst Screenplay.
The other Worst Picture nominees include “The Electric State” (starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt), “Hurry Up Tomorrow” (starring the Weeknd) and “Star Trek: Section 31” (starring Michelle Yeoh).
In the acting categories, Dave Bautista (“In the Lost Lands”), Jared Leto (“Tron: Ares”), Ariana DeBose (“Love Hurts”), Natalie Portman (“Fountain of Youth”), Rebel Wilson (“Bride Hard”), Nicolas Cage (“Gunslingers”) and Sylvester Stallone (“Alarum”) are all up for 2026 Razzies.
“Snow White” was one of the biggest movie flops of 2025.
The remake received poor reviews and bombed at the box office, becoming Disney’s worst-performing wide-release live-action remake in almost 10 years after earning only $200 million worldwide while costing $410 million to make and promote.
The Post’s film critic Johnny Oleksinski gave “Snow White” two stars and called it another “boring, mediocre live-action Disney retread.”
The movie was also plagued with multiple controversies that involved lead star Zegler, 24.
Before “Snow White” came out, Zegler sparked backlash for describing the original 1937 movie as “dated” and claimed that Prince Charming “literally stalks” Snow White.
“The original cartoon came out in 1937 and very evidently so,” she said. “There’s a big focus on her love story with the guy who literally stalks her. Weird, weird.”
Zegler was also forced to apologize after she wrote an anti-Donald Trump post on social media that caused Disney fans to threaten to boycott “Snow White” if the actress was not replaced.
In addition, Zegler and Galdot, 40, allegedly butted heads over their differences regarding the Israel-Palestine war in Gaza.
Zegler opened up about dealing with the intense “Snow White” backlash in an interview with i-D magazine last June.
“My f–king psychiatrist has seen me through all of it,” she explained, confirming she took anxiety medication which was “truly a game changer” because she “just wasn’t functioning.”
“I think a victim mindset is a choice, and I don’t choose it,” Zegler shared. “I also don’t choose nastiness in the face of it. I don’t choose negativity in the face of it.”
The 2026 Razzie Awards winners will be revealed March 14, one day before the 2026 Academy Awards.
