JD Vance urges everyone to ‘tone down the temperature a little bit’ in Minneapolis


Vice President JD Vance framed his trek to Minneapolis on Thursday as a mission to understand everything that’s happening on the ground to help turn down tensions as ICE raids, the death of Renee Good, and violent protest roil the city.

“I wanted to understand a little bit better what’s going on, so that we can tone down the temperature a little bit, reduce the chaos, but still allow us, as a federal government, to enforce the American immigration laws,” Vance said during his visit to the city.

“Now, this is step one or step two of that process.”
