Jackée Harry has pulled back the curtain on how she pulled her face with a new cosmetic procedure.
The Emmy-winning actress — known for her roles in “227,” “The Women of Brewster Place” and “Sister Sister,” revealed her new look on Entertainment Tonight this week, detailing her deep plane facelift alongside her surgeon, Dr. Patrick Davis.
“They call it snatched,” the 69-year-old said of the reactions to her nip and tuck. “I’m yanked.”
According to Davis Facial Plastics, a deep plane facelift not only addresses loose skin but the underlying structural tissues. As opposed to a traditional facelift, which can “sometimes result in a windswept or ‘done’ appearance,” the deep plane method produces “the most natural-looking results,” as well as “minimal bruising and a quicker healing process.”
Davis said the price of the procedure can range from $40,000 to $250,000.
Harry, who admitted she had “body dysmorphia” before going under the knife, recalled her younger romantic partner telling her she didn’t “need” to do it, but decided to go for it anyway.
“When you constantly want something that bad, you gotta do it,” she said. “And I discovered I wanted it that bad. But it’s terrifying, it’s exciting.”
Oscar winner Jane Fonda, former talk show host Ricki Lake and Kardashian momager Kris Jenner served as sources of inspiration for Harry to take the plunge.
The four-hour surgery was performed in September in Beverly Hills, and Harry couldn’t be happier with her decision.
“I have no qualms about how old I am or who I am,” she said. “This helps, it boosts it. It pushes it forwards, so why not?”
