Indonesian influencer Lula Lahfah has died at age 26.
The content creator and singer was found dead on Friday inside an apartment building in the Dharmawangsa neighborhood of South Jakarta, local authorities confirmed to CNN Indonesia.
Detectives are said to still be examining the scene and are coordinating with Lahfah’s family as the investigation continues.
While no cause of death has been released, Lahfah has suffered from health problems in the past leading to multiple hospitalizations. On New Year’s Day, she posted a video saying she’d been in the hospital for a week, telling fans in a Q&A that she was suffering from kidney stones.
Despite her recent medical issues, Lahfah continued to share content up until two days before her death. Her 2.6 million Instagram followers and 775,000 TikTok fans checked in to watch her sing popular tunes, offer beauty tips and give lifestyle updates.
She initially became popular when she started posted covers of songs on SoundCloud. Soon after, she began releasing her own original music, including 2016’s “Panjat Sosial” (“Social Climbing”) with fellow influencer Gaga Muhammad.
In the wake of Lahfah’s death, her boyfriend’s band Weird Genius canceled a Friday night show with a message saying one of its members was “not in a prime condition and shape to be on stage.”
