Five people were taken into custody — including one man seen smirking as officers led him away in cuffs — after gunfire inside a Brooklyn apartment led to a tense standoff with police on Tuesday, cops said.
The suspects barricaded themselves inside an apartment on Madison St. near Marcus Garvey Blvd. in Bedford-Stuyvesant after reports of gunfire drew police to the scene around 11:30 a.m., cops said.
The standoff lasted for nearly three hours before police gained access to the apartment and took the suspects into custody around 2 p.m., according to law enforcement.
Inside the unit, officers spotted a bullet hole in the ceiling, cops said.
No one was injured in the shooting.
Charges against the suspects were pending Tuesday.
