JonBenét Ramsey’s dad responds to claim she’s in Epstein files

The father of 6-year-old beauty pageant princess JonBenét Ramsey is addressing speculation that his late daughter is in the Epstein files.

John Ramsey has vehemently denied the claims circulating online that his child, who was strangled to death in the basement of their Colorado home in 1996, appeared in a photo that was found in the home of the late sex offender.

“Absolutely no truth to it,” he said in a statement to TMZ on Tuesday. “I haven’t seen this, but with A.I. anything is possible.”

The image at the center of the viral claims was included in the Justice Department’s records on the investigation into Epstein and features a framed photo that shows the disgraced financier with a little girl perched on his shoulders. Despite the fact the girl’s face has been redacted, users on TikTok have implied she bears a striking resemblance to JonBenét.

There’s also an unsubstantiated rumor that Epstein gal pal, convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, attended JonBenét’s 6th birthday party — another claim her father shot down.

“I figured one of these days I would be accused of being an Epstein pal,” the 82-year-old told TMZ. “Hasn’t happened yet. Internet people can be very cruel.”

Nearly 30 years later, the killing of JonBenét remains a topic of intense interest and speculation across all forms of media. Prosecutors have failed to bring charges against any suspects, even though the child’s parents were believed by many to be involved.

The couple were indicted by grand jury in 1999 for child abuse resulting in death and acting as an accessory to a crime. But the Boulder District Attorney’s Office declined to prosecute those charges.

“We could have the killer arrested, convicted, in prison and there’d still be 5-10% of the population that thinks we’re guilty,” Ramsey said in the 2024 Netflix documentary series “Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey.”

His wife, Patsy Ramsey, died of ovarian cancer in 2006 at age 49.
