Man hit in Bronx, dragged into Yonkers under Honda SUV

A man was clinging to life Friday after he was struck by a Honda driver in the Bronx and dragged for four blocks into Yonkers before his body was discovered underneath the parked SUV, police said.

Witnesses told police that the unidentified victim was lying in the road on Broadway near W. 262nd St. in North Riverdale — at the border of New York City and Yonkers — at about 10 p.m. Thursday when the 31-year-old man operating a red Honda CRV ran him over while traveling north on Broadway.

The CRV driver dragged the victim four blocks up Broadway into Yonkers, then east on Caryl Ave., where he parked his vehicle.

The victim was found underneath the SUV after the driver had parked, suffering from injuries all over his body, cops said. Medics rushed him to Jacobi Medical Center, where he remained in grave condition.

Cops called to a crash at the Bronx corner were immediately directed to Caryl Ave., where the victim was found, officials said. He remained unidentified Friday.

The driver remained at the scene.

No criminal charges were filed as the NYPD Collision Investigation Squad continues its investigation.
