Mystery nonverbal girl found wandering Bronx streets in bitter cold in sandals and hoodie

A nonverbal girl was found wandering the streets in the Bronx in the brutal cold — and cops are asking the public’s help identifying her.

Cops spotted the girl about 10:20 p.m. Monday in front of a McDonald’s on W. Fordham Road near Davidson Ave.

She was alone and wearing only a pink New Balance hoodie, gray sweatpants and black sandals.

The girl, believed to be between 10 and 13, was taken to North Central Bronx Hospital for evaluation. It was not clear how long she had been out in the cold.

Police released images of this girl who does not speak, and was found wondering the streets in the Bronx. (NYPD)

Photos of the girl, who is 5-foot-2 and 80 pounds, were released as police continue to try to figure out her name and where her family is.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
