NYPD school safety agent stabbed in her leg while protecting Brooklyn student

An NYPD school safety agent was stabbed while protecting a student who was under attack by knife-wielding bullies at a Brooklyn middle school Wednesday, according to law enforcement sources.

The 53-year-old safety agent was overseeing dismissals at Intermediate School 285 Meyer Levin, on Beverly Road near Avenue B in East Flatbush, when she saw a group of kids attacking a lone student around 3 p.m., cops said.

The officer rushed over to intervene in the attack and was wounded in the calf by a student armed with a knife, sources said.

Medics took the safety agent to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.

Police took one juvenile into custody after the attack, cops said. Charges remained pending Wednesday.
