As investigators analyzed DNA recovered from a glove potentially linked to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, her daughter Savannah pleaded once again for her return in a short video late Sunday.
“It’s been two weeks since our mom was taken, and I just wanted to come on and say that we still have hope. And we still believe,” the “Today” co-host said in a video posted to Instagram.
“And I wanted to say to whoever has her or knows where she is that it’s never too late, and you’re not lost or alone,” she continued haltingly, appearing to search for the right words. “And it is never too late to do the right thing. And we are here. And we believe. And we believe in the essential goodness of every human being. And it’s never too late.”

It was the sixth video posted by one or more of Nancy Guthrie’s three children since Feb. 6, when Savannah, flanked by older siblings Annie and Camron Guthrie, first appealed to whoever had apparently kidnapped their beloved 84-year-old mother. The previous one, three days earlier, consisted of family scenes dating back to Savannah’s childhood.
DNA analysis of the glove, which was picked up about two miles from Guthrie’s home, was still underway on Monday. Even if the analysis were to reveal a person’s identity, it would still have to be connected to the crime scene, the FBI told NBC News.

Investigators have also asked residents to comb through and submit surveillance video footage from specific nights during the month before Guthrie went missing from her home on Jan. 31, KVOA-TV reported. A neighborhood action team was also cross-referencing neighbors’ footage to glean patterns or other potentially useful information to pass on to investigators, the NBC affiliate said.”
Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Feb. 1 when family members found her house empty after a friend told them she had not shown up to watch a live-streamed church service they had planned to view together. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department determined that she had not left willingly and declared her home a crime scene. Investigators from the sheriff’s office, the FBI and other agencies have been searching since as concerns grow over Nancy Guthrie’s health.
Video recovered from Guthrie’s doorbell cam revealed a gloved, shadowy figure attempting to obscure the lens, which helped the FBI issue a description of the alleged suspect. The glove being analyzed resembles the ones the potential intruder wore.
