A Nevada couple’s magical Disneyland visit took a frightening turn a massive tree allegedly snapped and crashed down on them during a wild and windy night at the famed park.
A large ficus tree fell near the Little Red Wagon corn dog cart, between the Plaza Point shop and Plaza Inn restaurant at about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, a, according to the Orange County Register.
Two Disneyland guests — LeWanda and Mark Joseph — escaped serious injury and were treated by Disneyland first aid for minor grazes and released.
“My husband and I were the ones hit — we had just sat down to take photos at the table when the tree snapped and fell,” LeWanda commented under a post on Facebook’s Disney Magic Key Holders group.
“Anybody else see/hear the tree break tonight?! Hope nobody was hurt! Looks like it landed where the corn dogs are usually sold,” the original poster wrote.
“Noooo! What a beautiful tree,” a sad poster responded, and another, “But are the corndogs okay?”
A third chimed: “They [Disney] need to be proactive with security risks. Nature is being deadly.
