Memorial held for Rev. Jesse Jackson in Chicago


The body of the late Rev. Jesse Jackson arrived at his civil rights organization’s headquarters in Chicago on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, to start a cross-country memorial service. Jackson will lie in repose at the Rainbow PUSH Coalition headquarters in Chicago, IL for two days before moving on to other events in Washington, DC and South Carolina. The civil rights activist, who marched with Martin Luther King Jr. and became one of the nation’s most influential Black voices, died earlier this month of a rare neurological disorder at the age of 84.
