Read the federal indictment in Gracie Mansion terror arrests

The ISIS-inspired accused protestors accused of throwing IEDs during an anti-Islam rally outside Gracie Mansion Saturday wanted to cause more carnage than the Boston Marathon bombing, federal prosecutors said in an indictment. Monday.

The suspects, Ibraham Kayumi, 19, and Emir Balat, 18, were hit with a range of terror-related charges, including using a weapons of mass destruction in the 10-page indictment.

Kayumi and Balat joined a counter protest to an anti-Islam rally organized by right wing extremist Jake Lang. The devices smoldered but did not explode.

After his arrest, Balat told investigators they wanted to launch an attack bigger than the Boston Marathon bombing, which he noted caused only “three deaths,” according to the federal indictment.
