Kamala Harris refused to watch Trump’s address to the nation — sparking conservative firestorm: ‘Bullet dodged’

Former Vice President Kamala Harris was mocked by critics after she rebuked President Trump’s address to the nation on Iran Wednesday evening — which she refused to watch.

Harris surmised in a video posted to X before Trump’s speech that the president would move to “claim victory” in Iran, but asserted that the “reality is we’re watching what he does instead of listening to what he says.”

“He brought America into a war that people don’t want, he has put American troops in harm’s way, costs are rising by the day, and meanwhile he has done nothing to address the needs of the people of America,” Harris said in the 30-second video.

Harris also announced that she “won’t be able” to watch the address.

The video turned into cannon fodder for conservatives critical of the Biden administration.

Mark Meadows, Trump’s former chief of staff, boiled Harris’ half-baked critiques down to her political aspirations “to run for President” again.

Republican Rep. Tom Emmer praised Trump for having “the guts” that the Biden administration sorely lacked.

“It’s pretty disgraceful for you to claim President Trump has done nothing to meet the needs of the American people. Here’s the truth: He’s cleaning up the chaos YOU caused here in the United States and across the globe, and is making America great again,” Emmer wrote on X.

Radio host Larry O’Connor succinctly wrote, “Bullet dodged.”

Other laymen bemoaned about “what 4 years of this would have been like” as Harris finger-wagged her dejected audience.

White House spokesperson Anna Kelly teased that Harris “should listen to the overwhelming majority of Americans who want her to crawl under a coconut tree and go away” in a statement to Fox News Digital.

Trump’s address to the nation was aired on every major news network Wednesday evening. In the short-and-sweet speech, he boasted that Iran was all but “eviscerated” during the ongoing military campaign.

He alluded to more strikes in the coming weeks that will send Iran “back to the Stone Ages where they belong.”
