How to watch ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 premiere for free: Time, episodes

There’s no place like home, but there’s also no place like AFC Richmond.

It’s been three years since Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) was last on our TV screens, but the folksy, optimistic football-turned-soccer coach is officially back. Despite Season 3’s finale acting as a quasi-series finale, “Ted Lasso” returns for Season 4 tomorrow, Aug. 5.

Sudeikis confirmed the new installment in March 2025.

After turning the AFC Richmond men’s team into a winning Premier League side, Ted returned home to Kansas City to be with his young son, but the new season builds off a scene in the Season 3 finale where Keeley (Juno Temple) presents AFC Richmond owner Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) with a proposal for an AFC Richmond women’s team.

Ted will, of course, return to Richmond after some time away to work some of his magic on the Lady Greyhounds with Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) by his side again.

A slew of familiar faces will be on screen in the new season, including Emmy Award winners Waddingham and Brett Goldstein. Temple will also reprise her role in Season 4.

Apple TV has not confirmed a release time for episodes of “Ted Lasso,” but the streamer typically releases new episodes of original series the night before their listed premiere date.

In the case of “Ted Lasso,” you’ll likely be able to stream new episodes as early as 9:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday nights going forward.

“Ted Lasso” continues to air exclusively on Apple TV, so you’ll need a subscription to watch the show.

Apple TV offers a seven-day free trial for users, so you’ll be able to watch two weeks of doubleheaders before $12.99/month payments kick in.

Amazon Prime members can also subscribe to Apple TV directly through Prime Video. It costs the same monthly price and also includes a seven-day free trial, but allows you to stream Apple’s content inside the Prime Video app.

‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 cast

Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso), Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard), Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton), Juno Temple (Keeley Jones), Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent) and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins) are all set to return to “Ted Lasso” for Season 4.

Ted’s son, Henry, was recast ahead of Season 4 and will now be played by Grant Feely.

Since the Season 4 follows a brand new team, these are the new faces you’ll see on Lady Greyhounds:

• Jude Mack as Boots, a goaltender
• Faye Marsay as Lizzie, a center back

• Shannon Hayes as Shannon
• Annelise Heywood as Mady

It’s unclear whether other “Ted Lasso” characters, like Phil Dunster’s Jamie Tartt and Nick Mohammed’s Nathan Shelley, will appear in the new season. Dunster exited as a series regular ahead of Season 4, but there’s always the possibility he may appear in a guest role.
