The actor who voiced Milhouse Van Houten for 35 years on “The Simpsons” will be heard by fans of the animated comedy for the last time on Sunday.
In a video posted to the show’s Instagram account, Pamela Hayden announced she’s retiring from “The Simpsons” after nearly 700 episodes.
“I love the little guy,” Hayden said of the nerdy character she’s brought to life since 1989.
She’s also lent her voice to other characters including bully Jimbo Jones and wholesome religious brothers Rod and Todd Flanders.
“The time has come for me to hang up my microphone, but how do I say goodbye to ‘The Simpsons?’ Not easily,” Hayden said in a statement, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s been an honor and a joy to have worked on such a funny, witty, and groundbreaking show.”
Casting to fill Hayden’s job will reportedly begin soon. Fans who miss her last show on Fox can catch the episode streaming Monday on Hulu.
