Giants place Azeez Ojulari on injured reserve, claim Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich

The Giants held onto pending free agent Azeez Ojulari at the trade deadline. Now he’s on injured reserve.

The fourth-year pass rusher had five sacks in three games between Weeks 6 and 8, leading Giants GM Joe Schoen to hold on to one of his better edges rather than getting value for him at the deadline.

But Ojulari, 24, left Sunday’s loss to the Buccaneers early with a toe injury. Now he’s out at least four games on injured reserve.

He leaves the lineup just as edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux returned from wrist surgery after missing five games.

The Giants moved Ojulari to injured reserve to fit tight end Greg Dulcich, whom they claimed from the Denver Broncos.

Dulcich, 24, was a 2022 Broncos third-round pick who battled injuries his first two seasons and then got demoted this fall. He made 33 catches as a rookie but has only eight the past two years.

ELUEMUNOR AGAIN A DNP

Left tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (quad), defensive tackle Armon Watts (shoulder) and Ojulari were projected non-participants during Tuesday’s walkthrough. Corner Deonte Banks (rib), defensive tackle D.J. Davidson (shoulder), quarterback Tommy DeVito (right forearm), tight end Theo Johnson (back), linebacker Micah McFadden (thumb/heel), right tackle Evan Neal (hip) and safety Tyler Nubin (back) were limited. Defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence (knee) was full.
